Ignore the mind surging “self-indulgent.“

Keep sacred space in the search for meaning.

Every failed experiment is a new pathway of discovery.

separation / birth

beginning / end

severance from one to two

How why the division

the one becoming two

Umbilicus

Primal wound

The core of a long howling longing for belonging

to our Mother

Earth

was raised in praise of trees and moss

my mother talked to Mr. Tree at the top of our hill

to help my brother cope

with the trauma

of school

And yet the long howling longing remains

sustains

seeking to heal

primal wound

between earth and humanity

                        colonial capitalism

                                    rapacious extraction

                                                incomprehensible destruction without mind heart spirit

            begin to begin

to heal one’s own disconnection

between earth and self

knowing in bones the connection is real

We are all related

             all beings

                        animals, plants, rocks, water

                                    are all related

knowing in bones the connection is real

not feeling it

not knowing how to feel it

Reconnect to the mother

Mother Earth

Umbilicus connecting to earth

though trees earth rock water air fire

Umbilicus made of what is found

Intricate

connecting back to Mother

naturally occurring yoni

connecting navel to yoni

plug in

and be in a state of connectedness

for a long period

an hour

So laughs the eons at the notion an hour is a long period

of just

simply being

connected

being still

being

Observe

Umbilicus reconnecting

and severed again

wait until the cord stops beating

knife

sharp

a razor

Tie it off

eat

placenta

grow a whole organ

to grow a human being

or

a human being grows

a whole organ

to become

born
